Best Ballroom, Latin, & West Coast Swing Dance Lessons in Reno

  Hey Reno, want to learn how to Ballroom, Latin or West Coast Swing dance? I have started a great Youtube channel that will help you learn how to dance social partner dance.  Actually, I have several and listed below, but this channel is designed for the very beginner ballroom, Latin, and swing dancer. They have 7000 square feet of space, great people running the ballroom, Latin, and swing dance programs.  The fact they are a non-profit that have started some great programs for our community is a huge cherry on top.

The answer will actually surprise you.  I truly believe we have several excellent teachers in Reno, Sparks, and Carson.  I just have been blessed to be able to teach at what I believe and feel is the best ballroom dance studio in Reno.  and have been received warmly by our local west coast swing community. Why Ballroom, Latin or Swing Dancing? I have been dancing Ballroom Latin and Swing in Reno for over 18 years.  I started dancing ballet, jazz, and tap as a teenager and even moved to Los Angeles and danced in some shows.  But I quickly realized I was not good enough to make a career at it until someone introduced me to ballroom dance. I discovered it did not hurt my body and it was fun dancing with someone instead of by myself.  It did take some time to learn and understand how to lead and follow but with some practice I got it.  I love ballroom dances !  I love Latin dancing !  I love West Coast Swing dance !  Heck, I just love dance and I love dancing ballroom, latin and west coast swing in Reno and Sparks.  (okay, anywhere, but Reno, Sparks and Carson areas have such a great dance community and they have become my dance family) We do not find dance, dance finds us.  That may be a weird thing to say but I believe it.  We know we want to dance long before we ever really think about do

Ballroom dances, Latin dancing and West Coast Swing dance whether here in Reno or Sparks Nv is huge and everyone wants to look good on the social dance floor.   You don't need to be competing to want to become the best dancer you can become.   Turns are a big part of looking your best on the ballroom dance floor.  Here is a video I made at the Ballroom of Reno School of Dance to help make turns easy...okay easier.  Turns are what you put into them and if you practice for just five minutes a day.  Yeah, I said five minutes you will become really good at turns, but if you don't practice anything, well you won't.   Where are the best Ballroom, Latin, and Swing Dance lessons in Reno? Well, if you know me you know I am going to say at The Ballroom of Reno   but give me a chance to explain myself. When I moved to Reno years ago I looked at all the ballroom dance studios and discovered one thing very quickly.  I sure as hell would not take a lesson from the level of teachers that were teaching around here at the time. Now I was a former DanceSport finalist and was then just starting to compete in West Coast Swing and was looking for a partner.  So, my level of expectation is much higher than someone just starting out.  But what I saw mostly was "business as usual" at the ballroom studios.  Kind of slick, kind of slimy, and wanting you to buy more lessons all the time.   I decided I would rent some floor space and start my dance teaching business here in Reno Nv.  I loved the dancers and the people, just not the studios.  So, I stayed as an independent teacher.  It was not long before othe
